In 2006, Neiman Marcus’s 100th anniversary was approaching, and the iconic department store was looking to celebrate in a big way. Given Melcher Media’s history of creating stunning pop-up books, we collaborated on how to bring Neiman Marcus to life via pop-up.

Melcher Media gathered an expert team for the project, including photographer Geof Kern, paper engineer Kees Moerbeck, and creative directors Tim Flannery and Ann Richardson. Using seven beautiful “pops,” the book traces a girl’s journey through Neiman Marcus’s history. A trove of hidden elements are incorporated into the book’s standout pages. As a complement to the book, Melcher Media also produced a pop-up insert for the annual Neiman Marcus catalog as well as a series of pop-up holiday cards for the store.
