Top Chef: The Cookbook

Client: Bravo/NBCUniversal

Publisher: Chronicle Books

Written by: Brett Martin

When Top Chef premiered on Bravo in March 2006, it immediately set a new standard for what a cooking show could be—a perfect blend of reality television and serious culinary content. The premise was simple: a group of people from a wide array of culinary backgrounds compete in a series of cooking challenges, judged by a panel of professional chefs for a monetary prize and the title of “Top Chef.” Naturally, fans of the show were eager to re-create the challenges and recipes at home, so we approached Bravo and the show’s creators to produce a companion cookbook that would allow them to do just that.

Something for Every Taste

Top Chef: The Cookbook captures all the drama, behind-the-scenes insights, and recipes from the show’s first three seasons. The book features roughly 100 dishes from the show’s Quickfire and Elimination challenges, organized by course types like appetizers, meats, poultry, and desserts.

Behind-the-Scenes Content

More than just a cookbook, Top Chef also includes exhaustive episode guides, profiles of each contestant, and in-depth discussions with the judges and crew members that reveal the inner workings of the show. Lavish photographs of the recipes, the Top Chef pantry, and the competition sites illustrate the pages.

Special Cover

Handsomely packaged with a canvas cover inspired by the chef’s jacket worn by each of the Top Chef contestants, this cookbook will have aspiring culinary contenders reliving classic show moments and relishing new recipes.
